IEC 63350:2026 pdf download,Household electric appliances – Specification of the properties of a digital system for measuring the performance.
IEC 63350:2026 outlines the generic requirements for establishing a digital system aimed at measuring characteristics of visually perceptible performance, such as browning intensity and lightness. It specifies the metrological standards for this digital system and details the procedures necessary to ensure compliance. The digital system comprises the measuring instruments, accompanying software, and reference materials essential for executing the measurement process effectively.
Customers can reference this document when specifying the digital system, while suppliers can cite it when detailing the products they offer. Additionally, interested parties may opt to utilize this document as a framework to meet measurement management system requirements across various activities.
This first edition nullifies and replaces IEC TS 63350, which was published in 2022. Significant technical updates in this edition compared to IEC TS 63350 include:
a) Revision of Section 4.2: Movable items, such as containers, jigs, and reference objects, may now be present in the assessment area, provided appropriate mitigation measures are implemented and periodic verification against known reference artifacts is documented. However, the requirement to maintain a stable assessment area remains intact.
b) Introduction of a new supporting document: A note in Section 5.1 introduces the Fogra 52 profile, which can be found on the IEC SC 59K supporting documents website. This profile references the conditions outlined in ISO 12647-7 and ISO 12647-2.
c) Addition of four new reference shades with hue angles greater than 130° in Section 5.3 for calibration, enabling accurate pixel-wise hue-angle measurement without creating new shade classes.
d) Update of Section 6.2: While the calculation of sampling positions remains the same, the procedure has been modified to better reflect actual testing scenarios.
e) Inclusion of input image color channel data reporting in Section 7.7.
These enhancements aim to improve the accuracy and reliability of measurements within the digital system, ensuring that users can achieve consistent and high-quality performance in their applications.
